I've owned a Kingpin for the last 3 years and I had a V92C for 2 years before that.
Great engine, great brakes, out-handles most other cruisers and a huge amount of fun to ride. Also, they are very reliable, so the alleged "spares problem" doesn't exist (I've had one breakdown in 5 years and 25,000 miles).
Many Victorys have exceed 100,000 miles, with just regular servicing. Several have recorded over 200,000 miles, with only minor components needing replacement.
There are currently 10 Victory dealers across the U.K. with more opening up in 2009. Victorys are still rare enough in Britain to get plenty of attention (I know, I work for a company that builds custom Harleys and my Kingpin still gets attention...).
My advice? Test ride one - you'll like it!!|||they would have looked rather silly had they ever come second in a race.|||Good design, well built, good quality, good ride, smooth, good power, handles well, looks good, the true "American" motorcycle.
But be careful, their dealer network is sparse and that can leave you stranded.|||Another contender in lookalikes using mostly off the shelf parts.
I'd stop yawning if it had dual sport tires, offered dual-fueling option,
and never gave less mpg than Suzuki DR650SE.|||I think they make a really cool and interesting cruiser if you want to buy American and don't want a HD. I wish they would try their hand at a sport bike. We need more American made choices.
Off the shelf parts? What? Parts off their own shelves maybe. I have no idea what the last answerer meant by that. It's not like they are selling rebadged Harleys or S%26amp;S powered clones with Paugco sheetmetal.|||how do you do a thumbs down icon on the keyboard?|||nice bikes except for that ugly vision thing. If I was stuck with that I would be scratching my head trying to figure out how to chop it!|||They are ok but way over priced|||Good bikes but a Harley is a Harley.....there can be only one.|||If you absolutely have to ride a cruiser this is the best choice. At least you separate yourself from the dirtbags and posers riding Harleys.|||The Victory is a good motorcycle %26amp; better and more reliable than Harley ( I am a scot now in the usa %26amp; ex motorcycle racer ) but the rice burners are a lot less dollars ,faster ,and more reliable (my road bike is KAW Concourse / off road an old Yam xt500 ) but bikes are bikes %26amp; like girls they have looks n curves ,some are fast some more sedate ,some looks and like girls ,boys will choose what is good to the eye, others preformance - in short - all bikes are good if it is what you fancy and do the job asked from it.my favorite bike of bikes is the 1956 tiger 100 as with the power to weight ratio with a little work on engine it was possible to keep up / pass %26amp; win over the Bonnie|||I know they have a lot of recalls and the price is right up there with HD. I don't know about their warranty but HDs are 2 years unlimited mileage. I admit I ride HDs, but this is your choice. If you get a Victory you could run around with ninebadteeth instead of dirtbag posers like me. LOL|||I've been riding a Victory Vegas for 4 years. The only problem I've had is a plug wire went bad. That was just a fluke and cost like $20 to fix. The stock vegas will outhandle and outrun any stock harley I've seen. Mine has the 92cu.in. motor and of course the new Victory's have 100cu.in. motors so they're even faster. They're several thousand dollars cheaper than a comparable Harley. They don't leak oil all over the place like a Harley and they look WAY WAY better! It's not uncommon for people to walk up at the gas station and ask if it's a custom bike. So it boils down to this... be another cow in the herd on a Harley or buy a Victory and be a badass! lol All kidding aside, I love mine and they are a solid bike.|||Judging by some of the replies, they don't seem to last very long, some quoting 5 years and 25000 miles - I do twice that mileage in less time on my Honda VFR.
I still have a Suzuki GT750 Kettle from 1977 with 96000 miles on the clock and had the heads off for the first time at 68000 miles, so these Victory thingies don't look very reliable or long lived for the money.
As for curves - if I had a women looking like that I would have moved on very rapidly.
I want a bike I can ride in all weathers, not only take it out when its sunny.
Not for me thanks.|||Just looked them up for the first time. That Hammer S looks cool. $19K is a little high for American made, even for a Hardley D..
How about the Raider?
http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/prod鈥?/a>|||I would rather ride a rocket-3 myself
