American made motorcycles?

Harley and Victory are the only two American made bikes I can think of. Are there any others? To tell you the truth I wanted to buy American but when you compare a Harley/Vistory to say a Honda for example...the Honda seems to be more bang for the buck. More features for less money. Hell its 2010 and the Victory cruisers don't even have a damn gas guage. Thoughts?|||Victory has only been producing motorcycles since 1998 and belongs to a company that has produced (in my book) some sub-par pwc's and so-so atv's. Harley on the other hand is not just a motorcycle, its a piece of American history, it represents blood, sweat and tears from over 100 years of good old USA pride. At the last Harley rally I went to I heard the President of Harley Davidson say "its not just a motorcycle club, its a family".


Dont get me wrong there are lots a really good motorcycles out there and I have owned many of them, but I didnt understand the difference until I bought my first Harley.





Just because I am standing up for something this country is and should be proud of I'm sure I will get a lot of "thumbs-down" ratings from the people who dont know what it means to be patriotic.|||Wow... |||Just sayin,,,,Harley isn't 100% American anymore and hasn't been for nearly 15 years.,,,Buell, a former Harley engineer doesn't even exist anymore, Harley got him back,,,,Victory hasn't been 100% American for 3 years...the only way to get 100% is custom(OCC,Jesse James,etc.)Ridley is the only one.

|||Victory is considered the best American Vtwin, but Vic, and Haley-Davidson is pretty much antiquated butt jewelry for pretty boys.l Any time that littbittydicklve wants to run I have a Honda with 178,000 miles that smokes Milwaukee vibrators, regularly. It was made in Ohio and has more US made parts then any of the Chinaglides.|||INDIAN is being made again by the guys that took over criss craft boats.. meaning they have more enginers than lawyers (the opposite of HD)

my 1975,86,91,96,2000, and 2008 hondas are all running great and smoke every "big twin" bike out there..

Alot of harley type bikes are missing fuel guages and such probably to be more nostalgic and old school more than anything.|||Pretty sad state of things. Harley and Victory aren't really motorcycles, just butt jewelry for geezers.|||Harley and Victory are about it. Unless you want a "custom" chopper. Hondas are no longer assembled in the United States.
