Your Open Question: Does anyone know how the"points" work for airline tickets?

A friend of mine wants to give me a deal, to do odd jobs for him for the spring/summer (about 5 months) and in the end he will give me a 2011 arlen ness "victory" motorcycle. The only catch is, he said it was awarded to him via the points system and that I/nor could he ever be able to sell it. Is this true?|||Maybe it has something to do with the motorcycle itself, normally when you buy something with airline miles or points there are no stipulations unless its an airline ticket.
