I about to buy a dodge ram and i want its bed to be big enough to fit my victory hammer (motorcycle: cruiser). I want to know how big i need to go. ex. 1500, 2500, or all out 3500. the bike is stock and has not been extended.|||From what I have found out..........the length of the motorcycle is around 65.7 and the bed of the truck is 76.3 so the 1500 will do the job..|||The beds only come in two sizes in full-sized trucks: six feet %26amp; eight feet. The 1500 type numbers reference the weight carrying capacity, not the bed size:
1500 is a half ton
2500 a three-quarter ton
3500 is a one ton
You'll probably need a long bed, eight foot, but you'll need the weight of the bike to pick the best size of pick-up.
