I want to hear from any experienced riders. I am very familiar with the V-Rod, VTX and Warrior. Have not ridden Victory yet. The Hammer and Jackpot look great. How do they perform? Anybody?|||Victory is a very good bike. They are quality built machines very few little problems. Only 2 things negative I can say about them, their fuel injection is rather primative, no where near as advanced and tuneable as HD's Delphi Closed Loop system, and they are rather exepnsive...compared to HD, purchase price and accessorized, they are more expensive than an HD Dyna fully done up.
There is not much in the way of aftermarket parts for them yet, only a handful of companies making parts and accessorie...BUT.....S%26amp;S has finally got on the band wagon and is now producing a full line of performance parts for them.
In my opinion...for me....if money was no issue and I had it too spend on another bike, I would love to own a Victory....I LOVE the Vision!!!!.....but $ for $....and performance and tunabilty, parts and accesory availability, dealership network availabilty, etc...an HD is the better bike....|||Victory is a good bike, but IMHO are overpriced for what you get. If you're looking for a cruiser style like the Jackpot or Hammer, go for either the Warrior or the Raider. Both are more comfortable, better handling and cost less. The VTX is less money than either of the Victory's with about the same handling. Forget the Honda Fury, underpowered and handling is nowhere near the Raider or Warrior. Kawasaki Vulcans are ok; great power, fairly comfortable and reasonably affordable but they don't handle as well as the Star models or even the VTX. They're all good bikes in their own ways although over the years I've never had a bad experience with a Star/Yamaha product. I all comes down to what do you like, and does it fit your stature and your pocketbook.|||Victory went astray when they let Arlen Ness in the door. Their first bikes had some very cool design features, and were the best-handling cruisers on the market; only Guzzi came close. Their new touring bike is a hideous abortion of a motorcycle. I can't say that I have seen anything uglier on 2 wheels, and that includes Boss Hosses and Roaddog.
Still, I'd take a Victory before any harley. Even with all their recent improvements, harleys are still essentially junk, unrideable by anyone who can really ride, butt jewelry for chimps and novices. A lot of their owners are sociopaths, too, as you can see from some of the answers here.|||Victory has used a closed loop injection system since 2008. My stock 92 cubic inch Vegas routinely blows away my friends 103 CI Screamin Eagle Road King. The 100 CI Victory will easily take down a 110/113 Inch HD. The Victory will out handle a comperable HD the only one that has a chance to out run it is a V Rod but for $2,300.00 In engine work the V Rod has no chance. Victory did have some premature clutch cable breakage now they have a hydraulic clutch. 6 speed transmission is bulletproof as is the oil cooled engine. You can ride one at any dealer and compare. By the time you get into 3rd gear on the Victory your mind will have been made up.|||I've seen what they offer here in Aussie %26amp; you won't see me swapping the Sportster for one.As P.B. said another Harley wannabe. You just cannot top the real thing - yes you can put cheap whiskey in an expensive bottle, but it isn't the real deal is it?Don't fall for '' the new American motorcycle '' - buy the original icon.|||I havent ridden one but Ive heard they are good bikes and they are american made, which keeps the money and jobs here in the USA|||you won't get no respect from Harley Davidson Riders by owning a Victory|||Just another Harley wannabe made by a 2nd rate atv %26amp; snowmobile manufacturer. More power won't make a hill o' beans in 30 years when they're all gone. Made in the U.S.?? -try again....assembled, NOT made.|||the victory is a good bike.
