Will victory motorcycles perform as well as A Harley Davidson?

It will probably last as long, but the resale value will be lower than the Harley.|||I have heard the Victory is a better bike|||Victory's all around performance out does HD and was voted best in customer satisfaction for 2007 by J.D. Powers. There is also the fact that Victory's initial cost is less than the HD and has less maintence. I have friends who have Victory's and all of them are very happy bikers.|||The Victory is considered to be the best V-twin built in America. Even the early carburated baggers were fast motorcycles.|||the Vic will out perform the HD in everything (unless you stick $5k into the HD)....... except t-shirt sales and sheep fleecing.|||Personally I hope Victory does well and really hoping Indian does well again now that they are reopening. I have a Honda VTX 1300 now made in Ohio which I will have for at least 3 more years and am REALLY hoping Indian is going to put out a quality bike because that will be my next one if it is. I just think Harley is so deeply protected in the press, I have heard Victory is a much more truly American owned than Harley as far as parts and assembly and I have heard they are better from 2 people I know who have owned both brands, but 2 people really isn't enough to make a fair judgment|||Victory Motorcycles have had more than their fair share of recalls.|||Cruiser Magazine just did an article on Victory Motorcycles for Touring models and gave it pretty good reviews, Second to a Goldwing and Harley was third , All three of those bikes are built for luxury . Victory as well as just about every bike these days are pretty well built. There will be Lemons in every crowd|||most likely better. and chances are the victory will last longer and have more power..|||Victory is by far a better built motorcycle for riding than Harley.

The Harley will have a better resale value than the Victory.

Victory will out preform Harley on any given day.

Harley you are paying for the name.

Victory you are paying for the bike.|||most likely they will, but how hard are they to work on and they are just not Harley's|||have a 2001 fxdp and a 2006 victory 8ball. after riding the stock 8ball i did a bit of work to my fxdp. 95 cu in 10.5 to 1 forged pistons, andrews 55g gear cams, roller rockers, 1.94 intake, and 1.60 exhaust valves, stage 2 porting and shaved heads. adj push rods, and new lifters. have a mikuni carb and hooker 2%26gt;1 header. much better, then for the 8ball i bought a k%26amp;n filter, drilled out the filter box so it could breath, and bought a lloydz fuel injection controller, a total of under $300.00, and really it didn't need it to still be faster than my h-d. i still love my dyna, but the vic has it all over the h-d, performance, style, comfort, ride, ........|||Victory bikes are just wanna -be Harleys! Victory riders wish they were as cool as us Harley guys|||Harley's aren't really built for performance. A better question would be does Victory have the same quality, dependability, resale and comfort. My guess is yes to everything but resale which is why I decided not to buy one myself. I do think they make a good looking bike and it would be a good alternative to a Harley. I was concerned with the resale issues though.|||The Victory will blow any Harley (stock vs stock) off the road with the exception of a VRod. Better brakes too. Why anyone would buy an inferior product with the rationalization they think it will be worth more when they sell is beyond me.|||Pretty D close a couple of my buddies have them|||I used to love Victory Motorcycles untill Polaris bought them out, then Polaris ruined Victory!

I hate Polaris, everything they make it turns into junk!
