Are Victory Motorcycles any good? I was looking to get one for my first motorcycle.?

I know a few that have them. they like them.........|||they are okay.|||no I don't think so|||i have a 04 vic vegas and it is an outstanding bike. i have 26k without and problems. it will cost more than a sporty but it is by far a better bike. the sporty is top heavy compared to the vegas. as for your first bike, i'm not sure i would recommend a vic. the bike is beautiful and if you drop it you will cry. on the other hand if ya drop a sporty you'll have no trouble finding parts as they are a dime a dozen. one advandage a vic has over a harley is that when you walk into a crowd of bikes you'll be able to find your bike right away as they stand out and don't look like a harley clone. i have not rode a vtx 1800 but a buddy i have owns one and loves it but to me it's big big bike. of course honda realibility is great.

now having said that, ride them all and get the one that turns you. don't let anyone tell you what to ride.|||Victory makes a nice family of bikes. I considered buying one about a year ago. They have a better service record than Harleys, but do not have as much charisma because of the Harley Owners Group fascination with their brand. They seem to be overpriced for what you get however. You might want to look at other brands. the Triumph Sppedmaster was judged the best middle weight metric, and its thousands less and same performance|||i recently took the 'victory challenge', and rode all the bikes that they had for the demo; from the 'small' 8-ball, to the touring kingpin. what i did notice about the victory's: the pro's: very strong engine, and the bikes are manuverable, and are easy to ride. the downside is, if u are into customization, u dont have many choices the way harleys are, and every victory has the exact same engine; every 1 has the 100ci engine. also, practically every victory bike looks exactly the same. u can instantly spot a deuce from a wide glide, or a electra glide from a ultra classic.

the victory's are a bit cheaper than harley, but yanno, in some areas, harley is a much better deal. the victory's do give a decent ride, but their 'premium seat' is a mustang....and that seat is a 400 dollar seat as is.|||Victory is building the best air cooled VTwin in America. They are fast and stylish and have a successful corporation backing them.

Honda VTX is also fast and stylish with the added benefit of liquid cooling. Some people think the 1800cc VTX is too heavy and opt for the 1300.|||Very nice bikes. By with a clear conscience.
