Adam, you should know better. H-D won't use Chinese parts, that would be bad P.R..
You too, Mike.
Now, if you said Mexico - Bingo. And Japan, Canada....
Ninebadthings.....I would really like to meet you, we agree on so many things and yet you still manage to hit a nerve sometimes.
As to the question:
Toss up, I guess.
I don't like the look of many Victorys. I actually gagged when I first saw a Vision.
I had previously owned a Yamaha Vision (XZ550RJ).
I only know one Victory owner, and he is happy. He is happy he bought a previous year's model.
Belt drives suck - unless you have a garage or trailer queen and only ride on the best days.|||I like the look of crusiers but I don't want one. For the past 20 years all I've heard and read of is Harleys poor quality finnish on just about everything. Rusty bolts and screws after a very short time, corrosion underneath the laquer on alloy crankcases. Don't get sucked into the H-D bull. So I would go for Victory on that basis alone.|||Well I am not a big fan of either, I would pick a victory over any harley any day. I buy quality not names. Personally I would go buy a kawasaki vulcan voyager or vaquero.|||Victory is considered the best V Twin made in the USA. Victory is more reliable, maybe because , unlike H-D they don't use Chinese parts|||My 'gut' feeling is Victory. The Yamaha dealer where I live is also a Victory dealer. They are really, REALLY nice.|||Im betting the Victory is a better quality machine as of right now as it is made here with no chinese parts!|||Victory. They are where HD should have been years ago.|||I have no desire to ride either in the same way that I have no desire to buy a mini van. The victory has much better torque and horsepower per CC, actually better numbers all around. Sadly they share the same gay belt drive.
The down side is that I think Victory bikes are a bit ugly and you don't get to be in the harley club.
Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, cc for cc, there is no worse performing bike than a vtwin crusier. They are all nothing but fashion accessories and status symbols, and harley is the only real name brand. So why not buy the gucci bag if that is your thing instead of the knock off? None of them perform, non of them are real motorcycles.
