victory vs harley|||Buy what makes you happy. Both bikes are well made motorcycles, but if you want a Harley and your Friends ride Harley,s then get the Harley. I personally ride a Ducati and my brother rides a Harley and even though he used to ride Jap sport bikes he gives me crap for not having a Harley. It doesn't bother me ,but that's what you have to live with if you buy anything but a Harley and your friends ride them. Also Harley's have a very big social network and lots of rides and rallies you can go to, They have dealerships all over the country and lots of programs to get you on one of their machines.I recently took a XR 1200R Sportster for a test ride and was very impressed with it's handling and the brakes and the motor was very similar to my Ducati in performance since my bike is a older duck and a touring model.I don't know anything about the Victory bikes except they look nice and are supposed to have good power, so I suggest you test ride them both. Good luck|||Victory is relatively new to the market place and Harley has it's cult. Everyone knows that a Harley is under powered and shakes. The Victory runs smoother and has more power. If you insist the choice between these two I would say a Victory is all around a better bike but the Harley will have a better resale. If you want a good motorcycle and not just an image, I would explore other brands.|||The Victories all have significantly better horsepower than Harleys. All cruisers corner like lumber trucks.
So do you want more horsepower? Do you want the harley name on your bike? Which bike do you think is prettiest? Personally I think a harley looks pretty cliche, every other bike on the road looks like a harley...boring, but a Victory looks like a particularly ugly Harley so I always know a Victory when I see one.
Cruisers are for noobs and posers. In a world of great bikes to choose a crusier is to pick the runt of the litter but pay championship prices..|||Victory
Victory has the reputation of making the best V Twin made in America. They are more powerful and faster than H-D, more reliable and have a better customer support (parts and accessories, not just bandannas and cigarette lighters). They are a whole lot better looking, as well.
Harley keeps re-vamping a 75-year-old design without ever addressing the major flaws. The latest attempt to cool the rear cylinder is 1970s Cadillac technology. Instead of building a better bike they dazzle the uninitiated with "made in USA" advertising for a bike that has fewer American parts than the Vic or even the Hondas that were produced at the Ohio plants.|||Victory costs less than a similarly sized Harley. Victory comes with a 4 valve per cylinder design while harley still uses two valve per cylinder design. For that reason Victory has more power than Harley. Victory lasts longer. The average Harley has a service life of 100,000 miles while the average Victory is desinged to last 200,000 miles.|||Victory makes a nice bike. Possibly more reliable, certainly better handling and different. A true American alternative. Plus Polaris (Victory's parent company) just bought Indian, for hopefully a third American alternative.|||an insider to the industry once told me that he didn't know any Victory dealer owners that were not con-men.|||Harley...everything else is not a Harley they are just 'like' a Harley|||Watch this short video yourself -%26gt; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njM-tl5UG…|||in this day and age a cruiser is a cruiser, they all kinda look the same. They all kinda perform the same.|||Harley, true American, dependable dealers and parts every were.|||Harley. Victory has had far too many recalls|||One one copies the other I tend to go for the original not the copy.|||I'ld go for the Triumph!|||I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU I HATE ALL MOTORCYCLES LONGER THAN GOD EXISTS....... HATE WITH A FURY GOD.........AND I HATE OUTLAW BIKER MAGAZINE WITH A FURY ALSO GOD.AMEN. I HATE ALL HARLEY DAVIDSONS TOO GOD.|||Um yea and?
